I pointed this out to the board in June. 3 months later the sprinklers are still on because according to the board. "The irrigation heads are adjusted to the optimal setting for every area covered by the system" "This will continue to be done." They have wasted 40 thousand gallons of water on this single zone, since being notified. And a million gallons since the association was first developed. I notified the board in August, a month ago, that the rain sensors on Connemara are not working. Their response was "the sensors are working properly" Providing no proof. Here is proof they aren't working.
August 24th 1.05 inches of Rain fell at 10am.Connemara was watering that night
August 26th 1.18 Inches of Rain fell 2pm

Sept 20th. 0.62 Inches of rain fell at 3pm
Connemara was watering that night.
Oct 2nd. 0.72 inches of rain fell at 3 pm. 9 hours later at least 11 zones began sprinkling in succession for at least 3 hours.
And yet the board said all sensors are working. Email the board, tell them to get it fixed.
I cannot begin to calculate how much water is being wasted every time it rains because there are probably 10 zones.

- DON’T over-water your lawn. Most lawns need about 1” per week to remain healthy and green. Evermoor is watering every other day. That's far too much. We are watering 1.5 to 2 inches per week. With our existing watering budget over $20,000 per year, We are wasting up to $10,000 over watering. Thats $200,000 over the last ten years that has been wasted. Enough is enough. Contact your board rep and Email Association President Shawn Pedri at shawnmichaud@yahoo.com and FirstService representative Erin erin.basavage@fsresidential.com and ask why they've wasted some much of our water an money.
- DO position your sprinklers so the water lands on the lawn or garden, not on paved areas. Look at the water the sidewalk. Clearly another zone with the wrong sprinkler. Boulevard zone watered the sidewalk
- Don't water weeds. I put this one in here on my own. I know its implied for most people, but apparently our association has no problem watering weeds, wasting our water and our money.

Above is a photo of Connemara being watered on the evening of 8/24. That day Rosemount received more than an inch of rain. Yet the Board said the sensors are working. Really?

This photo of my yard was taken on 9/21. I haven't watered it since 8/5. Thats 6 weeks of no sprinklers. If we had proper irrigation management, we would have saved at least 5 thousand dollars by not Watering all of August and September.

Email the president, your association rep, and First Service to get these things changed.
Shawn Pedri, president has not responded to a single email while all your money is going down the drain.
On 10/2 a sensor near the Evermoor Neighborhood association picked up 0.72 inches of rain. 9 hours later 11 different sprinkler zones went off in succession throughout the evening along the highlighted yellow areas. 7 on the south side of Connemara and 5 on Evermoor parkway right next to Shannon Park Middle School. The Master Board however has told me the rain sensors are working.
